St Bridget’s Centre West Kirby

The centre has been a hub of community activity since 1848.

Now, newly rebuilt and modernised, the centre is the ideal venue for even more and larger events into the new century.

 

We offer two large, flexible and well appointed spaces with modern catering facilities in a fully accessible and sustainable building.

Hilbre Room (Main Hall)

A large, light and airy room which lies at the heart of our centre measuring circa 11m x 9m with views of the Church.  The Hilbre Room connects with kitchen and servery for serving refreshments, snacks and meals.

The room is ideal for:

  • fitness activities
  • lectures
  • conferences
  • small musical events and rehearsals
  • coffee mornings
  • christening and funeral functions
  • wedding receptions
  • social and supper evenings
  • children’s parties and family celebrations.

The room is fitted with an induction loop and free Wi-Fi, plus public address and musical and projection equipment on request. Up to 80 persons can be accommodated seated round tables comfortably and 100 seated in rows depending on layout and function.

Beacon Room

A smaller traditional room with character, measuring circa 11m x 6m ideal for smaller events such as lectures, meetings, small exhibitions, seminars, conferences and fitness activities.

An induction loop and free Wi-Fi are available. Can be used with Hilbre Room for larger events when the whole centre can be booked for your use. Facilities for tea and coffee can be arranged or access to the kitchen provided.

The Beacon Room accommodates up to 48 persons seated at tables and 55 seated in rows.

Kitchen & Servery

A spacious kitchen suitable for the serving of refreshments, snacks and supper evenings.

  • wedding functions
  • cookery classes

Fitted with dishwasher, sizeable oven, microwave, water boiler, hot cupboards, fridges and freezer.  A comprehensive range of crockery and cutlery suitable for most events is available.

A wide servery links to the Hilbre Room for convenient catering and the serving of refreshments.

 

Parish Office

The Parish Office is available for all Church and Centre related enquiries and is located off the entrance hall of the Centre.

 

Licensed Premises

The centre is licensed for entertainment under the Licensing Act 2003. Alcohol may be served at private events and may also be offered for sale, both subject to approval by the Centre Management as part of the booking process.

 

Furniture

We hold in store, sufficient tables and chairs for adult and children’s needs.

The centre can be booked as a whole with exclusive use or the Hilbre and Beacon Rooms can be booked separately.
